High-functioning women often find themselves in a state of decision fatigue and
adrenal exhaustion. Psychology plays a vital role here by identifying the “perfectionism” or “high-pressure” thought patterns that maintain burnout. Using CBT, we work on transitioning from a state of constant “threat” to one of “balance”, implementing assertive communication and stress-reduction training to reclaim emotional energy.
For women experiencing chronic stress, decision fatigue, emotional exhaustion, or feeling stuck in survival mode.
Sessions focus on restoring emotional balance, boundaries, and nervous system regulation.
Providing a safe space to women who are trying to balance everything. A focus on setting boundaries, finding healthy mechanisms and improving overall wellness.
Burnout and chronic stress can place significant strain on both the nervous system and our relationships. When the body remains in prolonged states of tension, emotional regulation, rest and connection become more difficult.
Marizanne works with individuals and couples using trauma-informed counselling and Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) to help the body gently release accumulated stress patterns and restore balance.
She also offers Access Bars® sessions, which many clients experience as deeply relaxing and supportive when dealing with anxiety, mental overload, persistent stress or symptoms of depression.
Alongside somatic work, relationship and sexuality counselling can help explore how burnout may be affecting communication, connection and intimacy.
When we are stuck in survival mode, the brain tries to protect you and one of the ways in which it does this is by creating holding or tension in the pelvic floor muscles. This can show up like pain in the pelvis or pain with intercourse, or constipation, or difficulty emptying your bladder, or straining or leaking. Pelvic floor Physio helps to restore connection in your pelvic floor through breath, movement and nervous system reset so that bladder, bowel and sexual function can be restored and optimal.
