As a Johannesburg-based, trauma-informed counsellor, Marizanne works with the whole person using a bio-psycho-socio-cultural-relational approach that supports growth, adaptation and care across changing life stages.

Marizanne, known as Maz, offers a safe, compassionate space for individuals and couples navigating conflict, communication challenges, libido discrepancies, infidelity, fertility and pregnancy journeys, parenting transitions, divorce, sexual trauma, identity questions, stress and burnout. She also works with premarital couples and partners renegotiating relationship structures or rebuilding after rupture.

Marizanne is a member of the European Federation of Sexology, the Council for Sexual Health Professions South Africa and a student member of the International Society for Sexual Medicine. As a certified Trauma Release Exercises® (TRE®) and Access Bars® practitioner, she integrates talk therapy with body-based work to regulate the nervous system and restore emotional safety. This allows you to show up more grounded in your relationships, your sexuality and your work.
